Tatting and hot Australian weather......

Tonight I did something that I never do.....started doing some tatting after a very hot day here in Melbourne. Call it a bit of an experiment.....not a successful one....

This Coats doily will NOT be done by me!!
First picture is what 7 hours of tatting with incredibly fine thread look like at the start of a tatting session on a hot Australian night.

The second picture is what 7 hours of tatting looks like after an hour of not being able to suss out the STUPID written pattern (cos it goes the opposite way to the direction I am tatting) on a hot Australian night....

I know there is an I told you so coming from someone.......LOL

  1. Bummer! I hate when that happens. I'm sorta glad I'm not the only one who can't for the life of me figure out what a pattern is trying to get me to do!

    1. Normally I can work it out. Too hot and too grumpy to bother lol

  2. Couldn't you just say that a kangaroo or a koala broke into the house and did that to your tatting? Just a thought.

    1. Funny Jane.....there were a few suss looking roos out the front this morning......
(Actually more roos around the house here in town than there were at the farm!!)

  3. Sorry you are having trouble with it, it is also troublesome for me to do it, lol.
It is the same for me, the instructions are going the wrong way around.
    Are we giving up ?

    1. I am. If it is this frustrating so early it will be worse on the outer rounds and I seriously think....for me....it will bowl.
Too many nice patterns out there to mess with one I dislike tatting already.
